A free form piece about the road of Life. I spent a lot of time on the road, well both roads. My road of Life led me down a lot of State and County roads. Sometimes it’s all you can do to just keep walking. But if you don’t keep going you will never find out what’s over that next hill or around that next bend.

A road, sometimes no more that a barely discernible path. At times it’s a wide and modern thoroughfare. A road with no beginning and no end.

A road that at times is so horrid as to seem a part of Dante’s Hell, and yet beyond the hill is a paradise of ecstasies. A road, that once traveled, may never be left. One may pause at an appropriate spot to soothe his ravaged soul. Yet never for very long, for always, is the call of the next hill. And greener pastures.
