Close Your Eyes – © 1975

A short poem saying “goodbye” to a love. In 75 I gave up the road for a love, and possibly a home. I never really believed it would work, and this piece reflects that doubt.

Close your eyes my love,
Don’t worry ‘bout tomorrow.
Back to sleep my dove,
With morning comes the sorrow.
Because with the coming dawn
You’ll find our love has gone.
And so am I . . .
And so am I.
